Acupuncture Acupuncture is a complementary medicine which is drug-free, harmless to your body, and can work in conjunction with Western Medicine. Acupuncture sees the body as a network of interrelating and interacting energies. Even distribution and flow of these energies help the body maintain good health. However, when there is a depletion or stagnation of these energies, it can lead to illnesses. Acupuncture is a system of medicine, which seeks to aid your body’s natural processes by helping the body to correct itself by a realignment or redirection of energy (also known as Qi). To help correct these imbalances, fine needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points on relevant meridians.

Chinese HerbsThere are three forms of Chinese Herbs: Herbal Tea Formula, Herbal Tea Extract, and Herbal Pill. The Herbal Tea Formula is the oldest and the most traditional form of Chinese Medicine. It is also the most effective form because the body absorbs the medicine quickly after ingestion of the herbal brew. Each remedy (weight and variation) is prescribed based on the individual’s health and the information acquired during the consultation. Chinese herbs help reorganize the body constituents (Qi, blood, and body fluids) within the meridian and the internal organs.

Medical MassageMedical massage is performed on a person with illness or health issues. Similar to Acupuncture, a Medical Massage is used to remove blockage among the meridians of the body, to stimulate the flow of blood, and to release muscle tensions. The goal of a Medical Massage is to apply therapeutic impact on parts, systems, and organs of the body using direct (local) and indirect (reflex) methods of treatment. Moreover, Mei Chou uses Medical Massage in conjunction with Acupuncture to produce the maximum healing results when dealing with muscle injuries and pain management.
